100 Days of Summer: Part 1

I’ve seen a lot of bloggers do update kinds of posts and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I hope this helps you get a better idea of who I am as a person. This way you can get to know the blogger behind the posts.

So, welcome to my new post series: 100 Days of Summer! There’s approximately 100 days in my summer vacation, hence the name of the series. I’m hoping to bring you photos of what I did during the week but since this week was a bit uneventful, I’m showing off my working-on-the-blog outfit.

I started working out again. Right now, I’m going through Kayla Itsines BBG program. I will be doing a full review of that as soon as I finish as well as keep you all updated on my progres. If you want to get a little Fitbit challenge going, add me! My username is KirstenOrtez.

I didn’t get the internship I wanted. It was a real bummer and I’m dealing with it as I mentioned before. I’m working in the Interal Auditor’s office at the University of Arizona 30 hours a week and using my Fridays off to work on my blog. I just bought two (that’s right, two) courses to help grow and monetize my blog. I bought BossBitch from Erica Ligenza and Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing from Michelle Schroeder-Gardner. I’ll be writing two reviews for them soon. I’m already a few modules into the Affiliate Marketing course!

This extra time is a huge move for my blog. Those extra ten hours a week will go into scheduling some awesome, content-heavy posts and a lot more fashion posts. I have a whole list of the things I want to bring to you guys. I’m rebranding too, which is going to take some extra time but it definitely going to pay off in the long run. I’m so excited for all the big changes to come.

So what was I up to this week?

I was creating the perfect summer routine. I’ve been waking up at 6 AM to work out, going to work at 9 – 5 (just a typical day), making dinner in the evenings and kicking back with wine and Netflix. It’s been nice not to have anything to go to. It’s been minimal stress, which is something I definitely need after the year I had.

I’ve been planning trips to LA, Sedona, and maybe a few other roadtrips depending on the time I have. Tanner and I are also planning to go to new restaurants in Tucson and see places around here that we haven’t before. I’m pretty excited to become a tourist in my own city.

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find. Welcome and thanks for popping in to my little corner of the world wide web!
