With my New Year’s blog resolutions of trying to incorporate more travel into my posts, I’m going to start sharing fashion posts that are inspired by places around the world or companies have a good environmental impact. The first company I’m sharing in 2018 is Bala Di Gala – the company that makes the boots of my dreams.
When I spotted these boots on Instagram, I immediately knew they had to make an appearance in my closet. While I’ve been a fan of the studded boots trend for a while, these were different from any pair I’d seen before. So, of course, when they arrived at my doorstep, I immediately put them on and wore them around town. After showing them off on Instagram a few times, it was clear I was not the only person in love with these boots.
Bala Di Gala makes a handful of styles, each one just as unique as this pair. Each pair is handcrafted with exquisite detailing such as studs, embroidery, or hand-painted florals. While the pair I chose was my favorite, it was hard to choose with options as beautiful as these.
The lookbook currently on their website was shot in the streets of Mexico, with beautiful colors and unique architecture. Seeing these boots on this background gave me the inspiration to find unique streets in Tucson to take photos of my own. Now, in the mornings, sometimes I struggle with finding the perfect photoshoot location, but this one will have to do for now.
Styling Hand-Detailed Boots:
The secret to styling boots with details like these is to not overdo the other pieces of the outfit. I paired these boots with distressed denim and a wrap top, leaving the shoes to do most of the talking. While a pair of earrings might have looked good with this outfit, I didn’t want any added sparkle to distract from the sparkle on my feet.
I’ve worn these boots several other times, pairing them with black skinny jeans and oversized denim and skinny jeans with a cropped retro-style bomber jacket. I found that black, white, or bold colors match the style best, but luckily these really could be styled with anything.
