Boyfriend Jeans

I’ve never really been the boyfriend jeans kind of girl. I’ve definitely never been the boyfriend jeans and a loose top kinda girl. But sometimes, laundry runs low and a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

Usually, I have a general rule when it comes to dressing. If you go tight on the top, go loose on the bottom, and vice versa. Same with revealing – there’s the chest, the legs, and the midriff and you should really only expose one of the three. Now, I’m all about female empowerment, so please girl, wear what you want if it makes you comfortable, but for modesty reasons, this is the rule I follow. For this, I went loose on both. Whoa, slow down there rule breaker.

I definitely couldn’t have pulled this off with flats. The little block heel on these shoes makes my ankles seem a bit more petite and gives a nicer shape to my legs. I kinda bought these jeans on a whim last summer and have been trying to find more ways to style them ever since. I pretty much only wear them with heels and a tee for a polished, but still casual look. With this striped tunic tied at the waist, designer-inspired heels, and a simple black bag, it’s definitely inspired by a lot of classic looks.

Basically, it’s the perfect outfit for cooler summer days and nights, although we don’t get too many of those here in Tucson. I’ll just swap out the jeans for a denim skirt and I’ll be set.

What an adorable look! I don’t own a pair of boyfriend jeans, but they seriously look so comfy and cute!
