Western Caribbean: Cayman Islands

So, I decided to break up the Cruise photos so you aren’t overwhelmed with photos, especially when we get to the Belize photos! There are so many!

The first location on my Carnival Western Caribbean Cruise was Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. I wish I could have gone to Stingray City as so many people suggested, but I was both too broke to buy another excursion and just as happy just laying out on the beach and enjoying this amazing view! How can you not enjoy the view? The water was so blue; it was practically perfect clear water. We spent the day getting some sun, playing in the ocean, and drinking iced alcoholic beverages in the sand. What a way to spend the day.

It’s probably too far to walk to seven-mile beach from the port, however, if you walk a little ways out from the port and catch the local bus, you will pay a little less for the trip. From the port, taxis are about $5 per person each to Seven Mile Beach but we paid $5 total each way for the both of us. It’s not a lot, but $10 bucks saved can buy you a drink.

As you approach Seven Mile Beach, the area gets very resort-like, so there is food in the area. We ended up eating closet to the port, but we enjoyed our lunch. There is also a drink place on the beach, but it feels very Spring Break-ish. The drinks are a bit overpriced, but I was happy with my $10 strawberry rum concoction with a tiny umbrella.

As I mentioned, we got lunch on the way back to the ship and ended up stopping at this Italian restaurant with really good pizza! For those of you who are planning on going, it’s called Le Vele. When we went, they happened to be having a special: $15 dollars for a personal pizza and a beer, so we each got a pizza and enjoyed our lunch right up against the water.

Personally, I didn’t find any souvenirs worth buying, so I saved my money for another port. Ya win some, ya lose some, ya feel?

P.S. My super cute bikini is made by Maaji and sold as a set from Maude Boutique. I absolutely love it! You can get it here!

It feels more like a hotel to me! Occasionally you can feel the ship move, but not often. Get a room near the middle too if you’re nervous of getting sea sick!

How incredible! I literally wanna cry just looking at those pics in jealousy! What I would do to be on a beautiful beach right now! (Keep in mind, I live in the Caribbean hahaha but my beaches don’t compare to the Cayman Islands or Belize!)
