Almost Vintage

I have had this skirt in my closet for four years. I have had this skirt for four years and haven’t worn it more than a handful of times, which is honestly a shame. This skirt is so cute. The belt, which you may recognize from a previous post, is actually the newest thing I’m wearing. The booties, as I am never ashamed to admit, were a Poshmark find, so I got a great deal on them. The shirt is all the way back from when Victoria’s Secret still carried clothes, a damn shame. I have managed to find some very similar pieces (don’t worry, they are affordable!) that I’ve linked below!

Since it’s been in my closet so long and I’m just now getting around to wearing it, I think it’s time that my closet sees a new years clean-out. I just sent my first bag ever into ThredUp, which is a clothing resale site, similar to Buffalo Exchange or Plato’s Closet but online, so we will have to see what they take. I also made a few trips to a donation center and finally started clearing out all my sorority clothes. As sad as it is, I’m starting to finish that chapter of my life.

As far as this look goes, I was definitely more a fan than I expected. When I put it together for the first time, I was like yes, this is definitely going on my blog. That brings us to today. Finding this location for the shoot made it even better. Like wow, could this have come together any more perfectly?

Try not to laugh too hard at the photos; I was trying to go for a ‘serious face’ but I should honestly just smile. I can’t pull off the straight face in my opinion, I just look too angry. But I don’t know, maybe models look angry when they don’t smile too.

As far as this time of the year, I’m still busy as ever. I’ve got a GMAT exam coming up next week and my Winter Microeconomics final on the same day. Please, please, please keep your fingers crossed for me. I’ve also got a lot of fun things coming up that I’m going to share with you all including the Waste Management Open in Scottsdale, a weekend trip to Denver, a road trip to the Grand Canyon (finally, after living in Arizona all this time), and a trip to Vegas. Of course, they will all have outfits to go with them and plenty of travel photos.

I hope your new year is off to a good start! Tell me, do you have an upcoming plans for the new year?
