School’s out for summer. That’s right – because this girl isn’t done yet. I’m going back for another whole year to get my Masters in Accounting. I have a job lined up after I graduate too, which eliminates a ton of immediate stress. However, with all the success and growth this blog has seen, I’m open to trying to take this thing full time after graduation. Wouldn’t that be something?

Anyway, as The Wandering Brunette, I don’t travel as often as I’d like. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an expert travel planner, but my funds are running a little low. I’m hoping to get that number back up this summer.

I don’t have many plans for the summer but I guess it’s time for me to announce where I’m going next. Drum roll please…

I just booked a flight to Montana! It’s only a short weekend trip and it’s for a wedding, but I’m pretty excited about it. This will be the first wedding I will attend as an actual guest, not family, so that’s a bit nerve wracking. I’m also a plus one, but that’s beside the point.

Anyway, I’m super excited to be bringing my Eve Cork bag along! Isn’t this duffel just gorgeous? It’s pretty durable too – I’ve thrown this guy in the back of my overstuffed car a few too many times and it’s still just fine.

The necklace is another piece I can’t stop wearing. It’s from AUrate New York and it looks perfect with everything! Their mission is pretty cool too – for every piece that is purchased, an underpriviledged child gets a book! They focus on fair trade and ethical sourcing, which I’m all about too.

This mustard color top is about to be a hit this summer too. I’ve been seeing this mustard color everywhere lately and I’m pretty excited. It’s such a pretty color. It looks perfect with the white.

Anyway, where are y’all off to this summer?

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find. Welcome and thanks for popping in to my little corner of the world wide web!
