Graphic Design

Today, I’m doing something a little out of the ordinary and styling a good ole’ graphic tee. It’s not often you catch me in a tee shirt, but this was a must-wear. I got this perfect Abbey Road Beatles tee, a long time on my graphic tee wishlist (if that’s a thing), for $15 from Hot Topic. Yes, ya girl went way back into her middle school grunge phase and embraced Hot Topic. Granted, I am still the most conservatively dressed person in the store, but it still felt like a throwback.

I’m also loving this frayed hem trend so when these blue jean babies went on sale at Lucky Brand, I knew I had to get them. Talk about a match made in heaven; they paired perfectly with the tee shirt and polished pointed-toe heels. I really felt that the look wasn’t complete without a standout red lip and I was right; it fits into this look like it was made for it.

Once again, the bag is a vegan leather imitation bag from Marsi Bond, and it really does go with everything, from that preppy look I wore week ago to this edgy look that looks like I wandered back into my middle school grunge phase. Just a reminder, you can get 10% off your Marsi Bond order with the code: kirstenortez10.

Right after this photoshoot, I actually went grocery shopping and I was definitely getting some looks from the other shoppers in the store. What can I say? Maybe local Tucsonians just can’t handle high fashion.

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find. Welcome and thanks for popping in to my little corner of the world wide web!
