Is anyone else 100% stoked for the 4th of July? It’s seriously one of my favorite holidays. Unfortunately, it falls on a Tuesday this year, so there won’t be a celebratory weekend for me, but I do plan on celebrating the day.
So, style advice for the holiday? You know me.
This is the perfect time to break out those white bottoms. They’re perfect for memorial day and they are perfect now. White bottoms are always my favorite trend of the summer. In a place like Tucson, they are almost a necessity. Too-dark bottoms trap in that triple digit heat. I bought this white skirt on clearance at Saks Off Fifth and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. You’ve already seen my style it here, here, and here for summer.
White pants, white shorts, white skirts – they are all perfect for the holiday.
If you don’t want to wear stars and stripes, stripes will work just fine. Instead of wearing dark pants, I opted for the darker color in my shirt. This striped shirt from Maude Boutique is made by Knot Sisters (it’s also over 50% off at Maude, holla!) and is both the right color and the right material for the peak-of-summer holiday.
For the 4th, try out a navy or blue top in a lightweight linen or other loose top.
A red bandana or piece of statement jewelry is the perfect accessory to get that red, white, and blue color palette. Since I wasn’t rocking red in my base outfit, this red bandana was the perfect thing to add to my patriotic look. Earrings or a necklace in red would have worked as well, but I’ve got a thing for bandanas right now and I love how it looks tied on my bag.
A red purse would also make the perfect accessory to tie up your look for the 4th!
So, what are you rocking to your 4th of July function?
