Levi’s Wedgie Jean Review: How Flattering Are They?

Hello world and happy Wednesday! Today, I’m excited to share with you a post I’ve been planning for a while – a review of the already infamous Levi’s Wedgie Jean.

I really don’t know how they came to this name. Honestly, nothing about it sounds appealing. However, they make my butt look fantastic.

Now, to be fair, my boyfriend says my butt always looks fantastic, but he definitely got wide eyes when I put this pair of jeans on. On top of that, the high waist and tapered legs are super flattering and make my hourglass figure even more prounounced.

So what size did I get?

I normally wear a size 6 in all jeans, dresses, pants, bottoms, etc. I’m pretty much a size 6 across the board. Even though a lot of reviews told me to size up, I stuck with a 28 which is the waist equivalent to a size 6. I’m so glad I stuck with my normal size.

When I first put these jeans on, they were tight. Like, I-couldn’t-sit-down-tight. I wore them around my apartment for a few minutes at a time and now the size is absolutely perfect. So, they totally do stretch out with wear. I would recommend sticking with your normal size.

However, I tried to get the jean in the Gray Tumble color as well and they did not fit the same. Not all colors are created equal when it comes to sizing. While the blue pair I’m wearing here fit perfectly, I couldn’t even get the gray pair over my hips in the exact same size. I returned them and did not try to size up.

What color am I wearing?

I am wearing the classic Coyote Desert color. It has a little bit of stretch (compared to the gray color which had no stretch) and I would say it’s a perfect distressed, vintage blue-type color.

Would I recommend?

Hard yes! While these jeans were on the more expensive side, I loved the color, quality, and fit. I can tell these jeans will be a favorite in my closet for a long time.

They’re super on-trend right now, with the more vintage fit, but definitely a classic pair of jeans.

About the rest of my look, I’m pretty much just rocking some classic styled with a pop of rose gold.

My tank top is a simple tank top from Lilly Pulizter – which I know, is totally not my usual style. I didn’t plan on getting anything from the After-Party sale, but when I found this silk tank top in two colors for just $30, I pulled the trigger. Just goes to show you that a brand you don’t typically shop at can totally surprise you.

I’m also carrying my classic Longchamp tote – which is from their Neo line. I prefer the Neo line since it’s all in one color rather than having the constrasting handles. I bought this bag in London following Brexit (to save money after the Pound dropped in value for a bit) and it’s been my go-to carryall bag ever since. I love the nylon since it doesn’t really get to dirty and cleans easily. Plus, it can hold a lot of stuff! I’ve put my laptop, a full 40 oz. Hydroflask, a notebook, a planner, my chargers, and even a textbook in here!

My shoes are the shoes that keep showing up on my Instagram. I’ve literally gotten endless compliments since I bought them. They’re just a simple pair of nude, pointed-toe mules but they go with seriously everything. I’ve worn them nonstop since they showed up in my mailbox and I can’t recommend them enough.

Rose gold is kinda my go-to metal color, so of course I had to throw on some bling to pull together the outfit. The long y-necklace and set of bangles were from two different Kendra Scott 2016 collections, but you can definitely find similar styles in-store now! The short plaque necklace is my engraved necklace from Fossil and is under $40 (with the free engraving)! It’s the perfect gift for someone special without breaking the bank.

So there you have it – a simple, casual look from me that I wore out and about earlier this week. What are some of your go-to casual looks? Or what’s a pair of flattering jeans you would recommend?
