Ok, I’m going to be 100% honest with you guys (I mean, I always am, but that’s not the point). I was not feeling the Nordstrom Sale this year. The blog posts just seem too forced and that’s not what I’m going for right now. So, you’re not going to find big images of my Nordstrom picks that I share on social and you’re not going to find long lists of every single thing I wanted at the sale. This is just things I bought – I’m keeping it real.
This year is my first year as a “real” blogger during the NSale and I only got four things. That seems almost absurd compared to what everyone else is getting. I got a suede skirt because I’ve wanted a cute one forever, a black leather jacket because my red one doesn’t match everything, a suede jacket because that’s been on my wishlist since last year, and a pair of waterproof black booties because this pair is cute enough to replace all my other pairs.
If you follow me on Insta, you know I live in miniskirts. I wear them with graphic tees, button downs, tunics… everything. This suede skirt is perfect for fall; I just know I’m going to be wearing it all the time. As a blogger, I also knew I needed to add this black moto jacket to my wardobe. I mean, come on, you can wear them with everything. The suede jacket probably isn’t a necessity, but it’s been on my wishlist since I missed out on last year’s version. As I mentioned before, I’m getting these black booties to replace all my other booties. I’m selling a bunch (I have way too many black booties) to replace them with this waterproof pair that will be more versatile in weather and dressing situations alike.
My cart was almost under $300 – which is a pretty great deal, all things considered. If you’re looking for fall basics, this sale is probably the right sale for you. However, I have enough pairs of jeans to fill a small boutique, my handbag collection is out of control, my shoes don’t even fit in my shoe rack anymore, and I just don’t need more sweaters when I’m living in a place like Tucson. Honestly, I need to be focusing on cleanout right now. (P.S. If you’re an avid follower and like my style, I’m selling my clothes. Check out my closet on Poshmark to pick up a few things.)
Since writing this post, I have picked up a few other things that I absolutely love. I got the Leith Cardigan in the reddish color, the Halogen mules in Wheat, the Dreamers by Debut sweater in four colors. I know, four colors is a lot, but this sweater is my absolute favorite thing from the sale. It’s right under $30 and perfect for the slightly chilly Tucson winter days or layered under a jacket in colder weather. It’s seriously so soft – I knew I would wear it so often that I needed the other colors.
If you get one thing from the Nordstrom sale, try to pick up one of these sweaters!

Now, of course, is the perfect time to talk about fall essentials in my closet. One, A good pair of black skinny jeans is a must in the fall. Mine are feeling a wee bit tight, but nothing a few days on the treadmill can’t fix. I love wearing my skinnies with my favorite tunic – on sale at Nordstrom right now for under $30. This tunic has been in my closet forever (it’s a blogger fave), comes in different colors, and can easily transition from season to season. I wear it year round!
