The Perfect Lazy Day

So this weekend, my boyfriend and I had a little fun doing a slightly different photoshoot. Before you steer away, it isn’t super risque or have anything inappropriate. I got comfy: I took off my pants, changed into a bralette, and slipped on a cozy sweater. It was the perfect lazy day.

My boyfriend came into town and, while I tend to be a bit restless, he does manage to get me to wind down. That doesn’t mean I didn’t drink my daily dose of coffee, but I did watch several seasons episodes of Parks + Rec.

So, how do I spend my lazy days?

If you know me at all, you know that I am a bit of a planning-addict. That means I planned to take this day off. There were a few things that made this lazy day a little easier.

  1. I just finished taking two exams, completing two projects, and giving one presentation.
  2. I went shopping days in advance just to prepare for not leaving the house.
  3. I worked out all week so I could take my rest days over the weekend.

Netflix shows worth watching on your lazy day: Parks + Rec, The Office, New Girl

The perfect grocery list for your lazy day:

  • For Breakfast: Eggs, Bacon, Biscuits
  • For Lunch: Takeout
  • For Dinner: Take and Bake Pizza
  • To Drink: Colombia Crest H3 Cabernet Sauvignon, Rondel Champagne, Orange Juice

So yes, I did take a day to myself and watched Netflix and drink mimosas. And you know what? I feel so much better. Sometimes you really need to take a day for yourself. Without it, you lose it. I do, at least. I know that I overwork myself and days like these are 100% necessary once in a while.

I know that I make my life appear perfect on here. All of my outfits are perfectly polished and my it looks like I do something fun every single weekend. In truth, I don’t go out anymore, I’m taking the hardest classes I ever have and I’m overworked. I have clubs, a job, a sorority, and this blog, which is my only relief sometimes.

Well, I guess today is a nice relaxing day as well. Football, turkey… what’s not to love?

Happy thanksgiving!

xoxo
