Rainy Days

I love rainy days. I’m not sure why I do so much. I love curling up inside with the sound of rain on my window. However, I do not like rainy days where I don’t have a rainy day outfit already picked out, I do not like rainy days when I’m not expecting them, and I definitely do not like rainy days when I have somewhere to be.

Now, not a day goes by where I don’t have to be somewhere right now (I’m a busy gal). So, I just had to pull on my big girl pants and deal with it.

We don’t get rain much in Tucson; unless it’s monsoon season – then, we get rain. But right now, it’s March and I wasn’t expecting rain, so I had to improvise. I was already partially dressed in business wear from class, so instead of wearing slacks, I changed into some high-waisted jeans (my fave) and slipped on this semi-water resistant jacket from J Crew. I bought mine on Poshmark, of course, so I got mine for a fraction of the price, but I would honestly buy this jacket at full price if I hadn’t found such a good deal.

The necklace is a new favorite of mine, seriously, I can’t seem to take it off, from My Lavender Crush, which I mentioned in a blog post last week as well. The necklace isn’t online yet, but her designs are so cute and definitely worth checking out.

I was really feelin’ my outfit, so naturally, I made my boyfriend come outside and snap a few picks during our lunch break. Thankfully, the rain stopped momentarily and made this impromptu shoot possible.

Now, I’ve got a lot of things planned coming up. I’ve got videos, I’ve got collaborations, and I’ve got some dang good outfit posts that I cannot wait to show you. Stay tuned, folks, because it’s about to get real exciting around here!
