In case anyone doesn’t know already from my previous posts, Tucson doesn’t get cold. We’ll get a few days under 60 each year and everyone breaks out down jackets and winter boots. The first things I break out are my favorite jackets and skinny jeans. Until then, I’ll still be figuring out how to style fall outfits for hot weather. In fact, we just had a morning the other day where I actually had goosebumps. Just to let y’all know, the high that day was 79. Prepare yourself Tucson, winter is coming.
Something about this look makes me feel like a bad ass. Maybe it’s this pair of skinny jeans, maybe it’s the red leather jacket, maybe it’s even the mirrored sunnies. Either way, when I step out the house in this everyday look, I know I’m going to conquer the day.
It’s not hard to figure out that this wine red is one of my favorite colors, especially for fall. I bought this red leather jacket to get me through winter in Australia, because it does get cold there, and it’s been one of my favorite items in my closet since then. Here in Tucson there isn’t much use for this jacket, but you can bet I’m breaking it out as soon as the temperature drops below 70.
I finally jumped on the choker trend this year with this basic black choker from Bauble Bar. I’ve worn it to football tailgates and bars alike, so this piece is super versatile. I already know that you will probably see it again. The other basics in my look include my favorite day-to-night blouse from Vince Camuto and these black leather Vans. The Vans are a step up from your ordinary dirty, white vans, These look cleaner way longer and just don’t attract the same dirt stains that my white canvas Vans once did.
So, there you go. This is probably the most “fall” look I will ever come up with. Since I’m more of a summer girl, you could day I’m pretty proud.
What are your go-to fall staples in your closet?
