Transition

“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.”

Meryl Streep may have been right, but they work for a reason. Florals are perfect for spring. In fact, one of my favorite things about spring is the florals. Of course, I never fail to mention Tucson’s strange weather, so pieces that transition back and forth between chilly and warm weather are perfect during this upcoming season.

I was lucky enough to snatch up this dress from GG Boutique and it’s quickly become one of my favorites. It’s so soft and the cut is so flattering. Unfortunately, it’s sold out now, but I’ve linked some of my favorite floral dresses from them below. Honestly, my next purchase may be the Emerson Floral Dress; it’s absolutely gorgeous! (P.S. You can use the code WANDERING for 25% off your order!) GG boutique has actually become one of my favorite online retailers as of late; I seriously love their dresses and affordability! They do tend to sell out fairly quick though, so be sure to follow them on Instagram to see all their new arrivals as they come in!

Back to the outfit, I couldn’t get away without wearing my favorite denim jacket again. I’m sure y’all must be getting tired of seeing it because I wear it with everything! I mean, it totally goes with everything too. It might go away soon, with the weather warming up, but if it’s even a little under 65 degrees, you can count on me wearing it. It paired perfectly with this floral dress, layered over tights for a cooler weather look. Since I can’t stop putting on these cute over-the-knee boots and this felt hat, I knew that these had to go with the look as well.

This outfit turned out just as I wanted: the perfect transition outfit to wear into spring as the weather fluctuates between 55 and 80. This outfit would look just as cute with another dress layered underneath, although I think it looks best with brighter color to balance out the black. As I mentioned, I’m currently loving the Emerson Floral Dress and it would make the perfect substitute for this dress in this outfit. The Chloe Dress and the Westridge Floral Dress would also make cute substitutes if you’re looking for a similar color scheme! They both have a blue background to the floral pattern. Now, if the cutout neckline is what you’re looking for, this dress is the perfect casual dress to fit your needs.

I don’t know about you all, but I am so excited to transition my wardrobe to spring and finally get some warmer weather!

Happy shopping and happy spring (finally)!
