I’ve been eating tuna fish sandwiches as long as I can remember, so I guess that makes me an expert. In all seriousness, I love tuna fish. I love putting it on my salads and I especially love it on sandwiches. This was a Sunday special in my house, for those days where my dad was working out in the yard and I was “cleaning” my room aka sitting on my floor and getting distracted by all the things I forgot I owned.
Now, I really love pickles too. I eat them like chips. They’re salty and crunchy and everything I like in something that isn’t awful for me. That’s why I love mixing them in with my tuna. And, maybe it’s in my blood, but I love a little “kick” in my food too. So I’ve been adding the infamous Mexican secret ingredient: jalapeños. I love using the Mezzetta “Hot” Jalapeño Peppers. They’re some of the best around if you aren’t using fresh ones. I always keep a jar of these in my fridge, just in case I want to add a little something extra to any of my dishes, this one included.
So, if you’re looking for that recipe for your kids that’s healthy and *not* PB&J again, then I think I’ve got one for you. If you’re ready for that *next level* spice in each bite, add these babies and you’ll be sweating a bit in no time at all.
