Work to Play

I’m all about a good versatile outfit. I’m always in need of outfits, as well as clothing, that can take me all the way through the day. That’s what first made me take the plunge into buying these pointed toe shoes from ASOS, which are perfect for class, work, and even making it to the bars afterward.

These tie waist pants from Forever 21 caught my eye for two reasons: they were 50% off and they were exactly what I was looking for. I had wanted to jump on the tie-waist-pant-trend forever, but didn’t want to break the bank to do it. I ended up buying these tie-waist pants in both tan and black and I wear them now all the time. Honestly, they kinda fit like pajama pants! When I wear the pants with a blazer, I actually tie the belt in the back, so the outfit doesn’t look to busy in the front. I think it works.

I honestly probably wouldn’t wear this bodysuit to work, but I love the wrap front. This might work under a blazer for someone who is a little less blessed in the chest, but it looks a little too boobalicious for work if you know what I’m saying. It is, however, a super cute bodysuit and I love how versatile it is! It honestly goes with so many outfits and you’re going to start seeing a lot of it, especially with the weather warming up.

The watch is from Welly Merck and I was surprised at how high quality it is! It’s got a very similar style to the trendy minimalist watches that are all over the ‘gram right now. I got their black face watch with rose gold detailing and actually decided on the navy strap. I was hesitant about black and navy together, but I like how it looks in this watch. It’s especially nice for work outfits, when sometimes, you end up having to wear the two colors together (it can be done)! You can also get 20% off with my coupon code: KirstenOrtezwm

My tips for work appropriate outfits that you can take outside the office? Versatility. Stock up on good fitting slacks, cute blouses, a fitted blazer, and pointed toe kitten heels. Those heels look just as sexy with a good fitting pair of pants as would your sky-high shoes. Besides, sexiness is all about subtleness and these heels really have it all. The cute blouse is also a must, just remove the blazer after hours. So there ya have it: another outfit from Kirsten that’s just as cute at a bar as it is at work.
